South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service

The South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) is based at Bunbury and provides regular services in Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Manjimup, Bridgetown, Margaret River. The Team is multidisciplinary, working closely with the community, mental health services, hospitals, local GP’s, Department of Child Protection, Community and Youth Justice Service, Department of Corrections and other service providers. The Team aims to provide, counselling, shared care management, education, training and consultation around substance use.

• Counselling with individuals, families, adults, youth and children throughout the South West 
  
• Provides information, resources, consultation and education to the community and industry
  
• On-going support and networking 
  
• Advice, training and consultation to professional services 
  
• Pharmacotherapy Program, 
  
• Support and training to the local community to prevent and reduce drug related problems
  
• Shared case management

Target Groups

• Individuals in the South West region experiencing problems related to their alcohol and other drug use
• Parents and significant others who have concerns about the alcohol and other drug use of a family member

Entry Requirements

Appointments can be made to see a counsellor by contacting the service during working hours. No referral is necessary and counselling is free.
