St Patrick's Community Support Centre

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre was established in 1972. It is situated in Fremantle and operates as a day centre providing information and assistance on a wide range of issues including alcohol and other drug related problems, and housing. The aim of the service is to offer clients the opportunity and resources to meet individual needs and consequently improve their quality of life and overall wellbeing.

• Low cost midday meals; Free breakfast (7:45-8.15am Mon - Fri), 3 course meal for lunch (11.45am-12.30pm Mon - Fri). Cost $5.00

• Male Crisis Accommodation 
• Single male and single female medium term lodging house accommodation available for persons aged 18 years and over
• Community housing accommodation; low cost single rooms for single independent men over 21
  
• Youth Housing Program; low cost accommodation for young persons (male and female) with or without dependants, from 16 years of age up to 25 years of age (young person 15 years of age will be considered for the program if they are case managed by DCP&FS).
  
• Health Clinic offering a range of allied and complementary health services including Chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage, Reiki, reflexology, optometry, hairdressing, counselling and more. Registered nurse in attendance. GP appointments through the Street Doctor service on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
  
• Emergency relief 
  
• Street to Home Program: Two part intensive case management program for rough sleepers.
  
• Recreation, leisure and educational activities
  
• Referral to appropriate agencies
• Mental Health Housing Support Program: assists people with severe, persistent mental illnesses, who reside in specialist mental health inpatient units and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to access and maintain long term stable accommodation and to live independently in the community
• Crossroads : Assertive Outreach Team who work with clients in their own environment to provide harm reduction information and support to groups and individuals in a pragmatic manner
• Fremantle Family Crisis and Accommodation Referral Service (FFCARS): 12 weeks of short term accommodation to families that are in housing crisis

Target Groups

Persons living in the Perth South Metropolitan area who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and experiencing a range of difficulties including unemployment, disabilities, mental health and substance use.

Entry Requirements

Persons must be 18 years or over to enter the Day Centre, and be in possession of a Centrelink concession card to access many of the services. Other eligibility criteria exist for programs such as the Street to Home program, Youth Place and accommodation services. Please contact the organisation for further details.
