The Alcohol and Drug Support Line is a confidential, state-wide, 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone counselling, information and referral service for anyone concerned about their own or someone else’s substance use. The Alcohol and Drug Support Line is staffed by professional counsellors experienced in working with alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. The Alcohol and Drug Support Line can provide brief counselling and support, AOD information, treatment referral options and call back services to socially and geographically isolated clients. The Alcohol and Drug Support Line also provides counselling and information for people from non-English speaking backgrounds through the Translating & Interpreting Service (TIS) and can be accessed through the National Relay Service. Health professionals seeking information about alcohol or other drug use issues are also encouraged to call.
