Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation - Broome Sobering Up Shelter

The Broome Sobering Up Shelter is operated by Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation.

The sobering up centres in WA are funded by the Mental Health Commission (MHC) and run by local community organisations. The prime purpose of these centres is to provide a safe, care oriented environment in which persons found intoxicated in public may sober up, reducing the likelihood of them causing further harm to themselves or others in the community.

• Culturally safe, care orientated environment for people to sober up.
• Referral
• AOD Day Program open to the public. Harm Minimisation and Relapse Prevention. Programs provided twice per week, Tuesday and Friday mornings.
